My blood boiled and I instantly got a fever on December 6th of the infamous 2020.

The product manager of our team messages me: “Please post this on LinkedIn and Facebook page. Then let me know,” followed with a document.

<I was on mobile, happily trying to be productive by finishing off other tasks, got a notification and I quickly jump on to reply>

Me: “Sure sure, doing it right away.”

<I opened the doc, read it, didn’t like it still copied it. I then clicked on my Facebook icon. It loaded after nine seconds. I pasted it on the ‘Create a post' option. While proofreading it one last time even though everything is perfect (are you like me?), something struck me. I got unconscious for a few seconds. When I got my sense back, I deleted the whole text, logged out of Facebook and questioned the product manager>

Me: “Who wrote the texts?”

He: “Our consultant.”

Me: “I couldn’t post this. As a marketer, this is damaging to our brand. Can you please post this?

“Rather than fun, our motto is visible here:

  1. Promoting our corporate culture
